One hurricane night,  a young man fell from a ship, and sunk deep and deep to the sea palace.

A beautiful princess lived there.

She told him that she wasn't human nor did humans live there

She also told him that someday somebody would come to meet him , and then he would have to go back to the human world.

Time passes very very  slowly in the  sea palace

The man and the mermaid began to love each other.

They shared beautiful happy times.

However, the promised time came.

The day of farewell...

She told him," You will forget everything that happened here. Including me..."

He was screaming, " Nooooo! I can't allow it!." while he was rising up to the sea.

She couldn't detain him.

If she did, he would die.

" You forgot me, after all..."

The mermaid is overwhelmed with sorrow, and swims to a rocky coast on quiet nights.

She sheds tears while viewing the human world.

I used more than 1995 pieces of sequins. They are hand sewn into a scale pattern. The main color is dark blue, and I used clear color to produce transparency. The head dress and the neck lace are a combination of pearls and silver. I didn't use too many colors. Her blue body and silver hair emphasize her beautiful  pink eyes .
