People in Japan are afraid of the Snow Maiden

I imagined her not only fearful, but also tranquility as snow has many different aspects.

Long long ago, a man lived near a mountain.  He went to the woods to cut firewood.  It was a quiet winter morning when he left home. 

His woodcutting was well done, and he was descending the mountain. When he finished his work, snow began to fall. 

He hurried, but visibility was bad.  He couldn't move.   He lost his way and was sitting on the 

road.  How long  he was sitting there.  It was freezing cold.  He was near to death.

He was almost unconscious.

 In dimness, a  woman was standing in front of him. 

She was as white as snow. Very beautiful. 

Looking down at him.

I don't remember what happened at the end...

There are two endings. 

One is she took his soul.

The other one is that she comforted him, and they fell in love...

Fully Facial Repaint  and hair styling. 

Blue eye with pink and ice blue eye shadow in addition to pearl highlights.

The lips and nails are frosty pink.

For the hair, I used pearls and crystals for Japanese  ornamental hair

 accessories . Dangling at the back of her head are Swarovski's snow flakes.

The Kimono is made with white and silver brocade, and the outer  Kimono is made with white organdy which has  silver glitters. I wanted to express an airy  costume, and  the glitters change colors by light, so they look like snow dust . 

The Obi is made with silver brocade.

I added pink Asian bows on the gown. This  is not traditional Kimono style, but  it makes the costume more unique. She is Snow maiden, but it doesn't have to be solid white.

 You can display her with or without over gown.

 The costume is made from three layers in six pieces of Kimono, so I don't recommend to remove the entire Kimono unless you know how to put it on.
