Goddess of Dawn

She is a dancer of a temple.

She dances all night before God.

Her dance is only for God, not for people.

People have never seen her magnificent dancing.

When the horizon is becoming crimson pink, her service is finished.

When she comes out from the temple, a new day begins.

She who wears the gorgeous rose costume, adorned with mauve and sky blue jewelry is graceful and beautiful.

Her beauty wakes people from restful sleep, and gives them hope and vitality.

She is just like magic of aurora.

People can catch only a brief glimpse of this special time,

just before sunrise because she will vanish with the sunrise.

Though people are unaware of it, people named her Goddess of Dawn.

Costume

I referred to a 19th century  Indian costume, but changed a little into my own style.

The original  has a unique design of wearing trousers under the sheer pleated skirt.  It is very cute.

The vivid fuchsia top and bottoms are made with Asian fabric. The pleated skirt is made with aurora organdy. You can't see from the pictures, but the color shifts between peppermint green and pale blue from different angles. The veil is made with lame' tulle.

I imagined her as if she is dawn itself, so I used various shades of pink. She is very lovely.
